Swiss Climate Foundation awards SolidWatts funding
Nowhere else in Europe are as many new patents registered per million inhabitants than Switzerland. In 2020 there were 966 patent applications per million inhabitants, whilst in the rest of the EU it was 146 per million inhabitants. SolidWatts is proud to be recognised as one of those courageous Swiss startups.
We are therefore delighted to announce a recent grant award from the Swiss Climate Foundation. SolidWatts is one of just 10 SME’s chosen for the funding round, receiving a larger than average portion of the 1.3 million franc purse. SolidWatts CEO, Markus Aicheler states, “Once again we are delighted by the recognition SolidWatts achieves as it develops the new state-of-the-art in radio frequency power sources for industrial process heating. The grant will be very helpful in helping us bring to market a higher-performing and truly viable alternative to the burning of fossil fuels to generate heat for industrial production processes.”
Says Vincent Eckert, Managing Director of the Foundation, "We are registering an increased number of high-quality enquiries with real potential for climate protection. It is good that the economy is so active for the climate, and for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as a location for innovation."
For 16 years, the foundation has been awarding funding to climate-innovative projects that have a lasting impact on climate protection.
If you want to transition from fossil-fuels to a more energy efficient, electrical source of industrial process heating, we are ready to explore your project with you.
